Cabbage rolls with pork, beef and rice combination will become your favorite dish!
My family likes traditional dishes which I usually cook for holidays. Traditional dishes remind me on dishes which my mother cooked when I was child, so I can say that tasty, delicious and spicy cabbage rolls are really often in my kitchen. You can cook this dish on many different ways. You can use pork or beef meat, with rice, but I prefer combination pork and beef meat, with rice. This dish is so delicious, that you will want to cook it again, and again..
- 2-3 onions
- 9 oz of minced pork
- 9 oz of minced beef
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 ½ bigger sour cabbage (12 cabbage leaves)
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 1 egg
- ½ teaspoon pepper
- 4-5 peppercorns
- 2-3 bay leafs
- 1 cup rice
- 10 oz bacon
- 1 tablespoon paprika
- In the pan, add oil, finely minced onions and fry it until tender and add meat, salt, pepper, cook for 10 minutes, add egg, rice and paprika.
- On each cabbage leave put one tablespoon meat and wrap it.
- In large pot put cabbage leaves to cover the bottom, and add wrapped cabbage rolls, add bacon, peppercorns, bay leafs, and overflow with water. Cover and cook on medium heat for 3 hours.
