Apple Sheet Cake - super moist and delicious! This Apple Sheet Cake is made with fresh apples and only few ingredients! Very quick and easy so you need to give a try!
For cake:
  • 3 cups apples, peeled and chopped
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened at room temperature
  • ½ cup water
  • ½ cup buttermilk
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
For frosting:
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 8 tablespoon water
  1. Preheat oven to 350F. Grease and flour a 9x13 baking dish
  2. In a large bowl, mix together all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, cinnamon, baking powder, baking soda
  3. In a separate bowl, cream together the eggs, butter, buttermilk, water and apples, peeled and chopped
  4. Gently whisk together the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients and stir to combine
  5. Pour the cake batter into the prepared baking dish and bake 20-25 minutes or until an inserted toothpick comes out clean
  6. Cool completely before adding the frosting
  7. In a saucepan, combine powdered sugar, vanilla extract and water. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the mixture boils. Boil without stirring for 2 minutes, remove from heat and spread over the top of the cake.
