Halloween Chocolate Truffles Recipe

These decadent Halloween Chocolate Truffles are made with just 4 simple ingredients! Perfect for homemade holiday gifts!
Ingredients
  • 12 ounces semi-sweet chocolate chips or chocolate bars, finaly chopped
  • ΒΌ cup unsalted sweet cream butter, softened
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • Halloween colored sprinkles, candy eyeballs, optional
Instructions
  1. Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper, set aside.
  2. In a large bowl, add chocolate and butter, set aside.
  3. Using a small sauce pan, heat heavy whipping cream until slightly boiling
  4. Pour the hot whipping cream over chocolate mixture and let stand 2 minutes
  5. Using a whisk stir mixture until smooth.
  6. Pour the mixture into a medium bowl and cool to room temperature before tightly covering the bowl with plastic wrap
  7. Refrigerate at least one hour or until firm enough to shape.
  8. Pour the Halloween sprinkles into a large bowl.
  9. Use a small ice cream scooper, scoop out some of the truffle mixture and then roll into a ball
  10. Roll the truffle into the sprinkles or add candy eyeballs if desired then place ball onto a prepared cookie sheet.
  11. Repeat steps until all truffle mixture is used.
  12. Store in refrigerator
