OVEN FRIED GARLIC MUSHROOMS - Delicious, easy and tender these Oven Fried Garlic Mushrooms are a perfect healthy side dish that take under 25 minutes to make!
  • 8-10 ounce, whole medium sized Portobello mushrooms
  • ⅓ cup almond flour or all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon sea salt
  • ½ teaspoon paprika
  • ½ raw sunflower seeds, ground
  • ½ teaspoon dried parsley
  • 1 tablespoon parmesan cheese
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • ½ tablespoon butter melted
  1. Preheat oven to 400F degrees. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside
  2. Wash mushrooms and pat dry with paper towel, set aside
  3. In a blender or food processor, grind and pulse raw shelled sunflower seeds until a powdered texture
  4. In a shallow dish combine sunflower seed powder, flour, sea salt, garlic powder, paprika, parsley and parmesan cheese
  5. In a small mixing bowl, beat the eggs and melted butter
  6. Dip each mushroom into the egg mixture then fully coat with flour mixture and place on the prepared baking sheet
  7. Repeat with the remaining mushrooms
  8. Bake for 7-8 minutes, carefully turn mushrooms then bake for another 7-8 minutes or until crispy and golden brown
  9. Serve warm with dip of your choice
