Lemon Panna Cotta is rich and creamy Layer of lemon jello on the bottom with extra creamy top layer of panna cotta! Easy to make, classic Italian dessert! It has a melt-in-your-mouth texture and it's deliciously refreshing!
Ingredients
For Jello Layer:
2 (3 oz) packages Lemon Jello, and boiling and cold water called for on package
For Panna Cotta:
1 ½ cups milk
⅓ cup sugar
3 envelopes unflavored gelatin powder
½ teaspoon salt
1 ½ cups heavy cream
¼ teaspoon lemon extract
For Topping:
Whipped cream, optional
Lemon slice, optional
Instructions
To make Jello layer:
Prepare a muffin tin. Set 6 glasses on the diagonal in the cups. Set aside.
In a large bowl, add 2 packages lemon Jello. Add boiling water and stir for 2 minutes, until completely dissolved. Then stir in cold water.
Transfer Jello liquid to glasses and chill until Jello is set, about 3 hours.
To make Panna Cotta:
In a small saucepan, add milk and powdered gelatin and wait 10 minutes.
Raise heat to medium, add sugar and stir several minutes to dissolve.
Remove saucepan from heat and stir in the cream, lemon extract and salt.
Once at room temperature, pour into the glasses enough to cover lemon layer
Chill for 1-2 hours until set.
Top with whipped cream if desired and garnish with lemon slice
