This Giant Philly Cheesesteak Will Have Your Guests Drooling
Who has time to make individual sliders when this large bundt pan sandwich is where it’s at? It serves about eight to ten people, takes twenty minutes to prepare and will put you out a total of 45 minutes altogether. What could be easier?
Ingredients:
French bread dough (or Italian) – 2 eleven-ounce tubes
Olive oil – divided into 1 tablespoon each
A large chopped onion
Salt
Pepper
4 multi-colored bell peppers
2 pounds sirloin or rump steak- must be sliced thinly
12 slices of Provolone or Cheddar
Cooking spray
Method:
- Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit and spray your bundt pan generously. Place your uncooked bread dough in the pan and twist the ends together so that it forms a single layer, and bake until it is fully cooked. This should take no longer than 25-30 minutes. Let it cool for about 5 minutes in the pan, then transfer it to a cooling rack so that it can cool completely.
- Over medium heat in a large pan, add one tablespoon of olive oil and then add your chopped onions bell peppers, salt and pepper. Cook until all the veggies have softened thoroughly, then remove them and turn up your heat to medium-high.
- Add your other tablespoon of olive oil and place your thin strips of meat in the skillet, adding salt and pepper to taste. Sear both sides and remove from heat. Let your meat rest.
- Cut your bundt pan bread in half and layer with some cheese, vegetables, steak and more cheese. Place this half onto a baking tray and bake until the cheese melts.
- Remove from oven, place the other half of the bread on top and slice according to desired thickness.
These sliders are best served warm and with an ice-cold beer!
Nach-Yo Average Nachos!
Guy Fieri is the inspo behind this TOWER of nachos (that’s right… a whole tower), so you know it’s going to be cheesy, spicy and chock-full of flavor. Yielding 12 servings and taking a total time of 40 minutes to prep and make, these triangles of love will make you say, Ole!
Ingredients:
For the salsa:
Chopped tomatoes (2 small ones)
½ cup of onion, diced
¼ cup of chopped cilantro
1 tablespoon lime or lemon juice
Salt
Pepper
Combine the tomatoes, onion, cilantro and lime juice. Season with salt and pepper.
For the beef:
Olive oil
A pound of ground beef
Salt
Pepper
Garlic- 3 cloves, minced
½ teaspoon of paprika
½ teaspoon of cumin
½ teaspoon hot sauce or chilli powder
Cheese sauce
In a large pan, heat the oil over medium-high heat. Add your ground beef and season, allowing water to evaporate. Then add your spices, such as your cumin, paprika, garlic and hot sauce or chilli powder. Set aside.
To make:
2 cups of shredded cheddar
1 pound of sour cream
1 bag of tortilla chips
1 can of rinsed and drained black beans
Hot sauce to drizzle over
Set aside ½ cup of salsa, shredded cheddar and sour cream for garnishing.
Get a 110 ounce can and spread a thin layer of cheese sauce and then the tortilla chips over that. Spread another layer of cheese sauce, some beef, black beans, shredded cheddar, salsa and remaining sour cream. Drizzle hot sauce over.
Repeat your layers until all the ingredients are finished, making sure you end with your tortilla chips.
Place your serving plate over the tin and flip over, carefully removing the tin so you get a nacho tower. Add the garnishing and a little more hot sauce if you like it spicy!
After all that hard work, all that’s left to do is sit back and watch your guests devour your delicious food whilst cheering for their team. Enjoy!
