It is possible to fly in an executive plane between Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo with similar prices to airlines

May 25, 2022 By Yummiest Food Leave a Comment

Operation with a PC-12 Mono turboprop costs almost the same price as a Ponte Aérea ticket.

Travelers on the famous São Paulo – Rio air shuttle now have an additional option to fly between the two cities. Flapper, a company dedicated to business aviation, started to offer flights between Congonhas and Jacarepaguá with executive planes.

The service, despite being a charter, has become competitive compared to the current values of flights between the two cities, which depending on the time of day, exceeds the mark of USD 200 per flight.

– Salvador will have direct flights to Montes Claros and Campo Grande
– Anvisa releases in-flight service on domestic flights
– Airport fees in Galeão and Confins will increase by 12%

The flights between Congonhas and Jacarepaguá cost USD 300, but are operated by a PC-12 turboprop, which allows greater privacy and allows a company to acquire all the seats with costs close to a regular flight. The service is available every Friday and Monday.

The company argues that flights with the Mono turboprop on short routes, such as the air shuttle, are faster and cheaper than those carried out by jets.

“The present release is a mere result of what we learned during the pre-pandemic period. A flight operated by a turboprop takes just 50 minutes as we avoid more air corridors. It is certainly the fastest airlift in the world”, highlights Paul Malicki, CEO of the company.

In planning for the coming months, Flapper intends to invest more than USD 200.000 in marketing actions and partnerships to further popularize its flights. “User education is fundamental. We are 100% committed to reactivating numerous routes in Brazil”, completes Malicki.

The option of private flights has attracted more and more users of regular air transport, especially as it offers group travel costs equal to or even lower than those charged by airlines.
