Coffee is the second most loved drink in the world, preceded only by water. This fact is honestly not surprising at all, since coffee can be consumed in so many forms ranging from the regular black coffee to more elaborate drinks which taste like some of the best desserts. If you’re someone who loves coffee more than the average person, or you just want to improve your coffee game, we’re here for you. Here is a list of the tastiest coffee drinks you can make on your own.
S’mores Coffee
Let’s start off our list with a drink so tasty that while you’re enjoying it, you will feel as if you’re having the best dessert of your life. Firstly, add your s’mores flavouring syrup onto a plate, on the other plate crush your graham crackers and put everything aside. Then, dip your mug first into the syrup and then into the crackers to make the signature graham cracker rim. Pour your favourite brew into the mug, add some more syrup along with creamer or milk of choice. Stir everything while being careful not to mess up the graham cracker rim you previously made. This perfect drink should be topped off with some small marshmallows and chocolate syrup. If you’d like to make it extra special add some more crushed graham crackers on top.
Flavoured Iced Coffee
If you’re a fan of the Dunkin Donuts coffee, specifically their bottled iced coffee, this drink is perfect for you. Get some iced coffee from Dunkin Donuts or prepare your own brew and be ready to add some flavour to it. You’ll need some sugar, water and the flavourings of your choice, such as vanilla, cinnamon or nutmeg. Add your spices to a jar and put them aside. Secondly, add half a cup of sugar to your saucepan and a cup of water and carefully mix it together. Put over low to medium heat. After the mixture heats up, it will start to thicken. When you get the syrup consistency, take the saucepan off the heat and pour the sugar syrup over the spices. Close the jar and put it in the fridge. When the syrup you’ve made from scratch cools down, you can add it to taste to your favourite iced coffee. Serve with a lot of ice.
Toasted Coconut Mocha
This recipe may be our favorite because, besides coffee, it has two ingredients everyone loves – chocolate syrup and coconut. If you are a fan of Bounty chocolate bars, this is a perfect way for you to enjoy your coffee. Take out your favourite coffee mug and add in two pumps of the chocolate syrup and some coconut extract. Mix the combination well. Add your brew into this chocolatey goodness and stir well. You want the syrup to be completely dissolved in the coffee. Add in some milk of your choosing. We recommend coconut milk just to stay consistent with the flavour profile, but dairy will work as well. You may finish up the drink with some whipped cream and shredded coconut.
Pumpkin Spice Frap
If you’re someone who is totally obsessed with Pumpkin spiced lattes, but fall is rather warm where you live, this recipe is made just for you. Add a cup of milk, ½ cup of coffee, ¾ cup of canned pumpkin, some sugar syrup and pumpkin pie spice to your blender and blend on medium speed. Add some ice and continue blending until the ice chunks disappear. Pour into your glass and finish it off with whipped cream and pumpkin spice. If you like your drink more sweet, you may drizzle some caramel sauce on top.
