5 ‘Michelin-Quality’ Food Trucks To Try Before You Die In California

August 11, 2022 By Yummiest Food Leave a Comment

What would you say if we told you Michelin-quality foods are easily available on the street? No need to book a table several months in advance at an ultra-fancy restaurant and no need to worry about how to dress.

You just step in, place your order, and a few minutes later, you can enjoy a mouth-watering meal while sitting on your favorite bench in the park!

Well, if you’re in California, this dream can easily become a reality because the food trucks in this state are crazy good (some of them, at least). As a side note, while most of these chefs don’t actually have a Michelin star, the food they make is of the same quality.

So, if you’re ready to venture off into the world of good street food, here are five food trucks you can’t miss.

#1: Cousins Maine Lobster, in LA

Cousins is a chain of food trucks that can be found in several states, including California. Plus, they have several locations throughout the Golden State, and their trucks often move from one location to another inside one city.

For instance, if you want to find them in Los Angeles, you need to check out the trucks’ schedule on their website. Otherwise, it will be difficult to find the truck when you want to.

Their menu is all about lobster and lobster-derivative foods such as lobster rolls, lobster bisque, or lobster tacos. Even better, there’s even lobster ice cream! Now, the reason they are so successful is the fresh Maine lobster, which is flown each day to each truck.

#2: Hibachi Grill, in Inglewood

If you like grilled foods, this is the food truck to try! Located near the SoFi Stadium, the truck is extremely well-placed and easy to find, but you have to choose your timing wisely.

At lunchtime and in the evening, there are long lines of people waiting to get their meal, so you may have to wait your turn.

Overall, the food quality is good (the chefs only use fresh ingredients), the sizes are large, and the menu is varied enough to satisfy most people.

#3: Al Pastor Papi, in San Francisco

If you’re in the mood for authentic tacos while in San Francisco, pay a visit to the Al Pastor Papi food truck. To stay up to date with daily locations and new menu items, follow the restaurant on Instagram.

The menu is filled with Mexican dishes like burrito bowls, tacos, or carne asada, but there are other options as well.

Now, if you enjoy authentic Mexican food but don’t have the right food truck nearby, remember that you can cook your own delicious recipes in the comfort of your home.

#4: Devilicious, in San Diego

With a motto like “Food so good, it’s bad!” It can be a bit unnerving to try Devilicious’s food for the first time. But don’t worry, they are worthy of our list of Michelin-quality food trucks. They even participated in The Great Food Truck Race on Food Network!

Their menu includes the classic comfort foods we are used to, but there are also items like asparagus grilled cheese sandwich or butter-poached lobster.

#5: Twirl and Dip Soft Serve, in San Francisco

Whenever you’re in the mood for something sweet in San Francisco, look for the Twirl and Dip food truck. They are located in Golden Gate Park, near the gardens and museums that are often targeted by tourists.

But this is not a treat just for the tourists! Locals also love it because the soft serve is made with organic ingredients, and the chocolate sauce is crafted from fair-trade dark chocolate. Plus, all the toppings are handmade!

Besides the care that goes into creating each product, the food truck also has some unusual flavors and designs that people go crazy about!

Exploring the California Food Truck Industry

California is home to an incredibly diverse range of cultures, and its food truck industry reflects this. Representing a wealth of different cuisines from around the world, California’s food trucks offer something for everyone.

Mexican tacos, Chinese dim sum, Japanese ramen – you name it! Food trucks serve up flavorsome street food that draws on culinary influences from around the globe.

This vibrant and ever-evolving selection gives many people access to delicious foods that may not be available in traditional restaurants or supermarkets. As a result, investing in California’s thriving food truck industry can open up new opportunities for entrepreneurs looking to capitalize on this growing trend.

Moreover, by investing with platforms like SoFi and other online brokerages, it’s easier than ever to start investing in the booming California food truck industry. By taking advantage of these services, you can diversify your portfolio and maximize the potential of your investments.

Whether you’re looking for a long-term investment or just want to get involved in a unique business opportunity, investing in this rapidly expanding sector is definitely worth considering.

Wrap Up

The food culture is strong in California, so it’s rather difficult to take a walk in a big city without spotting one. However, the really good ones are easy to spot since they are always busy, with long lines of people waiting for their meal.
