A Step-by-Step Guide to Bake a Bread

January 5, 2020 By Yummiest Food Leave a Comment

What do you think is the most common breakfast in the world? Yes, you guessed right, it is bread. No doubt almost in every corner of the world people take bread in their breakfast. Some even use to say their breakfast is incomplete without having bread with a cup of tea.

Yes, you are getting the right I’m going to share with you a bread-making recipe. In my last article, I promised you I would come with an exciting recipe that moms need. I have heard many people complaining that when they get bread from the market, it does not as soft as they want it to be. Also, bread mould is a common problem, and most people are changing their breakfast tray. After reading today’s recipe, you would not need to change your favourite meal. Okay then without wasting time let’s start with ingredients you need to make bread in your kitchen.

Ingredients

  • Water
  • Flour
  • Yeast
  • Sugar

I’m sure we all have almost three of them in our kitchens right now. Maybe you only need knowledge or understanding of how the ingredients work together to make a soft bread.

Measure Accurately

A successful soft bread is all about the ratio of water and flour. You’ll get more reliable and consistent results if you measure accurately.

For example, if your recipe is written in cups. Then measure flour in cups and then weigh it. Do the same process for at least three times to get the accurate weight.

1.    Step 1: Make Dough Elastic and Smooth

Turn dough onto a lightly floured place and shape it into a round ball. Fold the topmost of the dough towards you. Push it into rolling motion with your palms. Repeat this process until it becomes elastic and smooth. You can add more flour if it is needed.

2.    Step 2: Put it in a Bowl

Place dough in a greased bowl with oil or butter. Add some oil or butter at the top of the dough; this will keep it smooth and prevent it from drying out while rising. Don’t forget to cover the bowl with plastic wrap or a clean towel.

3.    Step 3: Place the Dough in a Warm Area

After covering the dough bowl, place it in a warm area where the temperature should be 80° to 85° until it has doubled. For this purpose, you can even use your kitchen oven.

4.    Step 4: Press Dough with Fingers

Press dough with your fingers to check if the dough is doubled. If the dips remain, it means the dough is doubled in size and ready to press downward. Use your fist to push it down and into the centre. Gather the dough into a ball shape.

5.    Step 5: Roll Up

Place the dough on a floured surface. Roll it into small rectangle shaped pieces and dust off the flour that might cling to dough pieces. Make sure the dough pieces should be loose so the bread will not crack while baking.

6.    Step 6: Seal Both Ends

After giving shape place the pieces into greased pan. Cover it with a towel and put in a warm place until the size becomes doubled. When the dough has doubled place a pan into the preheated oven. When the dough’s colour changed into brown. If you notice the dough’s colour is changed fast, but it’s not done then tent the foil and continue baking.

Although it is the most simple way to bake a loaf of bread, I also have good news for those women who have their jobs and don’t get time for baking. Yes, you can use a bread maker it consumes less time. One can easily get a bread maker guide from different websites. So investing in a maker is a good idea if you don’t like market bread and want to eat fresh and healthy one.
