Grilled chicken is a must for warm summer nights, right? Well, in my opinion, it’s the king of summer entrees. Beautiful chicken pieces mixed in a tasty BBQ sauce, grilled and juicy with crispy skin.
You can enjoy this delicious barbecue chicken recipe along with your favorite pasta salad recipe or classic potato salad and they will add more taste to your food as well.
How to Make BBQ Chicken
Well, it takes more time to cook bone-in chicken than making baked chicken breasts or grilled chicken but the taste of the chicken will be crazy, the chicken will be tender and juicy.
You need to season the chicken with salt and pepper. Now, place the chicken skin side down and barbecue the chicken for around 15 minutes. For perfect barbecue – you can use your best propane grills as they are popular for BBQ. Now you need to turn the chicken and baste the BBQ sauce on the chicken. You can use pre-made barbecue sauce or own homemade barbecue sauce as well.
Now cook for 20 to 30 minutes more continuously basting with the barbecue sauce.
Ingredients:
- 1 tbsp hot sauce
- Vegetable oil for the grill
- Kosher salt
- 2 tbsp honey
- 1 lb drumsticks or skinless boneless breast
- Freshly ground black pepper
- Juice of 1 lime
- 2 cup barbecue
Directions:
- Take a large bowl and add honey, lime juice, barbecue sauce and hot sauce and whisk together. Season with paper salt as well. For basting, set aside ½ cup.
- Now bring the chicken to the bowl and toss them until completely coated
- Now heat the grill to high and prepare it for grilling. Use some oil to the grates and grill the chicken. Use the reserved marinade for basting, until charred. It may take 10 to 12 minutes per side for drumsticks and 8 minutes per side for breasts.
