- 2 eggs
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon cream of tartar
- Pinch of salt
- 1 cup chocolate chips
- 2 ¾ cups all-purpose flour
- For cinnamon sugar topping:
- ½ cup granulated sugar + 1 teaspoon cinnamon powder
- Preheat oven to 350F
- In a mixing bowl, cream together the butter, granulated sugar
- Add the eggs and vanilla extract and mix until thoroughly combined
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cinnamon, cream of tartar, baking soda and salt
- Dump this dry mixture into the wet mixture and add chocolate chips, mix until just combined
- Combine topping sugar and cinnamon together
- Roll dough into small balls and in the cinnamon and sugar mix
- Place on ungreased cookie sheet
- Bake for 9-10 minutes
