Celebrity chef George Duran has long been known for the quirkiness and fun he brings to cooking, hosting TV shows including Good Morning America, The Ultimate Cake-Off, and Ham on the Street. This fall, George has created two delectable recipes you won’t find anywhere else: a savory Roasted Cauliflower with Turmeric Tahini Sauce for the main event, followed by a Mighty Chocolate Tahini Sauce to drizzle on top of all your favorite desserts.
While it’s typically known as an ingredient for hummus, tahini is actually a superfood that complements an unbelievable range of foods. Tahini is an excellent replacement for salad dressings, hot sauces, ketchup, butter, and mayonnaise, and goes great on sandwiches, burgers, and everything up to even ice cream and yogurt.
Both of George Duran’s new recipes use Mighty Sesame Co. tahini as a base. Made from finely milled, high-quality sesame seeds, Mighty Sesame’s line of tahinis are a great source of good fats, fiber, and vitamins and antioxidants, and are loaded with magnesium, zinc, and iron. They are packed with protein and calcium, and are vegan, gluten and dairy-free, kosher, and halal.
What makes Mighty Sesame especially unique are its shake-and-squeeze bottles, which are completely unique for the tahini world and eliminate the mess and headache that come with separated tubs that need to be mixed each time. As George says, “Anything that saves some time and still tastes amazing is a winner for me.”
