What are Truffles?
Truffles are the ultimate bite-sized balls of chocolate. They’re made with ganache,
or a mixture of melted chocolate and cream, and they’re often rolled in toppings
or coated in more chocolate.
Ingredients you will need:
- Semi-sweet chocolate chips
- Unsalted sweet cream butter, softened
- Heavy whipping cream
- Halloween colored sprinkles
How to Make Halloween Chocolate Truffles?
- In a large bowl, add chocolate and butter, set aside.
- Using a small sauce pan, heat heavy whipping cream until slightly boiling
- Pour the hot whipping cream over chocolate mixture and let stand 2 minutes
- Using a whisk stir mixture until smooth.
- Pour the mixture into a medium bowl and cool to room temperature before tightly covering the bowl with plastic wrap
- Refrigerate at least one hour or until firm enough to shape.
- Pour the Halloween sprinkles into a large bowl.
- Use a small ice cream scooper, scoop out some of the truffle mixture and then roll into a ball
- Roll the truffle into the sprinkles or add candy eyeballs if desired then place ball onto a prepared cookie sheet.
- Repeat steps until all truffle mixture is used.
How to Store Truffles?
Store your truffles in an airtight container in the refrigerator for about a week and frozen for 1-2 months
